Ruth joined FRRR in 2023 and is now the Coordinator Regional Drought Resilience Plan Social Outcome Grants for the FDF’s Communities Program. In her role, she supports the FDFCP team, grantees and applicants. She has previously worked in State Government including Emergency Services and Local Land Services.
Ruth is passionate about supporting remote, rural and regional communities and enjoys interacting with local leaders. She grew up on a property in the Riverina and has always lived and worked in remote communities.
Her personal experience with drought in NSW and QLD ensures she has a great understanding of the real issues that rural communities face in times of drought.
Ruth is based in Cobar, NSW, and outside work, enjoys photography and spending time with her family and her animals.
