Community Renewal Funds

FRRR offers Community Renewal Funds to support communities administering renewable energy benefit funds.

Operating at a regional, local, or town level, FRRR’s Community Renewal Funds enable communities, proponents and governments to work collaboratively to identify priorities, maximise impact and create long-term benefits.

For Communities

  • Host your own community benefit fund through FRRR – decide on priorities, how and what will receive support and invest funds for long term projects into the future – strengthening your community’s future. Work with us to set this up pre-emptively and ask your local renewable energy project to contribute into one pooled fund that you can lead, scaffolded with FRRR support.
  • Already hosting renewable energy projects in your community, but have questions or seeking additional support? Reach out to us for a chat about the ways in which FRRR can assist.

For Government and Corporates

  • FRRR provides an independent vehicle through which to administer local community benefit funds at a regional or local level – giving community greater voice in the distribution of these vital funds.
  • Join-up multiple benefit funds in a region to reduce administration and the burden of multiple small grant pathways in a community – unlock opportunities for large community-informed legacy projects.
FRRR provides:
  • An independent philanthropic vehicle trusted by government, corporates, philanthropy and community;
  • Expertise in enabling community-led and driven processes, backed by solid administration, compliance and governance;
  • Skilled end-to-end grant and funding partnership processes;
  • Support to walk alongside community, identifying an investment roadmap to guide the decisions of the Advisory Committee; and
  • Transparent and public reporting on distributions and impact (with options for audit oversight).
