The FRRR NextGen Blueprint is a multi-year initiative led by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), with generous support from the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF).

Focused on young people and intergenerational leadership in remote, rural and regional communities across New South Wales and Queensland, the Blueprint will enable us to understand how we can better utilise our resources to respond to community need. It will also explore scalable approaches to systems change that prioritise intergenerational leadership in remote, rural and regional Australia.

This will be a co-designed approach, which will ultimately be piloted in two communities with grants to support groups to apply the framework. We’ll then learn from the pilot sites to create a Playbook and Toolkit for International Collaboration.

We need your input

The experience, ideas and insights of community are vital in helping us focus our efforts where they can have the greatest impact. Whether your community is already leading the way in intergenerational collaboration, facing shared challenges, or you’re a young person making a difference or just beginning your journey – your voice matters, and we’d love to hear from you.

Right now, we are listening deeply to community to help us shape the Blueprint. The FRRR team is connecting with young people, community groups, sector organisations and others across rural, regional and remote New South Wales and Queensland to understand what is working, what is needed, and how communities can better involve young people in shaping their futures.

There are two ways to be involved right now:
