Sally Foundation Trailblazers Development Fund

Trailblazers 2020

The Sally Foundation and ABC have partnered with FRRR to support the delivery of the Sally Foundation Trailblazers Development Fund.

Trailblazers attend the annual ABC Heywire Regional Youth Summit, where they receive leadership and communications training and present their projects on the ABC and at Parliament House. This funding opportunity is about investing in these young regional leaders to build their leadership skills, and their capacity to make a difference in their communities. This year’s program invites Trailblazers from the 2020 and 2021 cohorts to apply for funding.

These grants are available thanks to the generous support of the Sally Foundation.  A total pool of $30,000 is available in this round, and targeted applicants are invited to apply for a grant up to a maximum of $5,000.

Trailblazers can apply for funding for:

  • Project development opportunities that will support applicants to take their vision to the next level;
  • Personal development opportunities to build skills and/or networks to increase the individual’s capacity to strengthen their community or regional communities more broadly, and associated with a project vision;
  • Small assets that will increase the impact, reach or sustainability of the program (Note: Assets remain property of the partner not-for-profit organisation).

Applications will be assessed in July / August and successful applicants announced in mid-August 2021. Projects funded should be undertaken within a period of 12 months from receipt of funds.
