Insights and Impact

After 25 years, we’ve learnt a lot about rural communities, about their challenges and opportunities.
The 2,000 funding requests and subsequent conversations our team has each year helps us to keep our finger on the pulse of the needs of remote, rural and regional communities.
We know each situation is different and each community is unique. That’s why we prioritise spending time in communities and speaking with local leaders.
Through these conversations, we gain direct insights that inform our work, improve our practice and influence more targeted and relevant support for communities. We share this feedback, through articles, reports and submissions, with policymakers, with other communities and funders, so they too have ideas, knowledge and the benefit of lived experience. Wherever we can, we bring the voices of remote, rural and regional Australia to the table.
We also regularly share stories from community groups about the impact of the projects we have funded.

INSIGHTS
FROM THE BUSH
In the course of our work, the FRRR team speaks with hundreds of community leaders. We publish quarterly summaries of these insights, as well as share what we learn through articles and interviews.

REPORTS
& SUBMISSIONS
We regularly publish program reports and evaluations, as well as make submissions on key policy areas. These highlight best practice approaches and what we have learnt through our work about how best to support remote, rural and regional communities.

FRRR'S LATEST
ANNUAL REVIEW
FY24 was a record year of granting and partnerships. The $39.4M received through our partnerships, and the generosity of many, is a reflection of the strength of our shared commitment to the social and economic vitality of remote, rural and regional Australia.
