Freestone Friday Friendlies

With thanks to a grant from the Australian Government, administered by FRRR as part of the Tackling Tough Times Together grant program, the Community Hall used for Freestone Friday Friendlies could get a safe floor, a new drinks fridge, an upgraded lighting and integrated PA system.

Seeds of friendship

Drake residents wanted to learning more about permaculture, so the Granite Border Landcare Committee created a six-part workshop series. With thanks to a $4,000 Small Grants for Rural Communities grant, the committee was able to create and deliver this workshop series over a six-month period.

In partnership with Merrigum Primary School, The Song Room, an organisation that delivers integrated music lessons in school delivered a six-month music program to students from Foundation to Year 6. The program was possible with thanks to a $7,500 REAPing Rewards grant.

Totally Renewable Yackandandah (TRY) is a driving force behind its town's push for renewables and increasing local ownership. TRY received $4,878 from the Australian Communities Foundation's (ACF), through their FRRR Community Foundation Fundraising Account, to invest in community engagement and education around renewable energy hubs.
