FRRR Chief Financial and Operations Manager (0.9 FTE)
About the role
The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) is a national charitable foundation focused on increasing equity of opportunity in remote, rural and regional Australia. It adopts a partnership and leverage model of philanthropy, which harnesses the collective resources of philanthropy, business and governments to support remote and rural communities to be vibrant, adaptive and sustainable. Established in 2000, FRRR has distributed more than $177M to over 14,000 projects across Australia to date.
We are currently looking for a Chief Financial and Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial and Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for providing strong leadership across the corporate services function, including Finance, People and Culture, IT, Risk and Compliance, and Company Secretary support to the Board.
In this strategic role, key responsibilities include:
- High quality and timely support and reporting to the Board, Finance & Audit Committee, CEO, Leadership Team, and FRRR Team encompassing financial forecasting, performance, compliance, and people and culture.
- Overall financial forecasting, management and reporting for the company.
- Compliance across financial, legal, governance and legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to FRRR’s ability to achieve its strategy, goals and objectives.
- Oversee the organisation’s people and culture function, nurturing a positive and supportive work culture.
- Workforce planning, developing recruitment and retention programs, performance reviews and coaching others to ensure exemplary employee engagement and satisfaction.
The broad scope of this role requires significant business acumen including forecasting, planning, operations, finance, human resources, and strategy. The Chief Financial and Operations Manager must be a proficient leader who will discover and implement the most efficient ways to lead core business, role model and motivate others around continuous improvement, and embody collaborative leadership approaches.

FRRR Program Coordinator – Helping Regional Communities Prepare for Drought Initiative (Full Time to 31 Oct 2025)

We are currently looking for a Program Coordinator to join our team. This role will coordinate the administration, granting and overall program related tasks involved in the delivery of the Future Drought Fund’s Helping Regional Communities Prepare for Drought Initiative between July 2022 and October 2025.
Reporting to the Program Manager of the Future Drought Fund’s Helping Regional Communities Prepare for Drought Initiative, the role will be part of a collaborative and agile team that works closely with community-based not-for-profit organisations across Australia to assist in the consultation, planning and delivery of drought preparedness activities through Community Impact and Small Network Grants, and other program deliverables.
Working alongside the Disaster Recovery and Resilience Lead, Program Manager and Coordinators Community Engagement, and other program staff, the primary remit of the role is to assist the Program Manager with coordination of program planning, delivery and administration of tasks, in addition to administering the granting mechanisms relating to Community Impact Program Grants and Small Network Grants. The role will coordinate day to day program related tasks (all elements), and the grants process including assessment, notifications and announcements grant agreements, grant payments, data-based insights for reporting, and support the final reporting and acquittal of all grants.
From time to time, you may be required to collaborate with external contractors employed to assist with the delivery of program outcomes, and other delivery partners of the Future Drought Fund.
