A free online tool has been launched to help community groups access data to strengthen funding applications.

As the Investing in Rural Community Futures program culminates in the South Coast communities, one of the biggest impacts has been the growth in the people that have delivered the program.

The Bega Valley Data Collective had support through the Investing in Rural Community Futures program to develop a community-led wellbeing framework aimed at empowering the community to thrive.

FRRR and Bega Shire Council recently announced that a new initiative was being rolled out in Bega Valley, called Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) Bega Valley – Resilience Connection and Place Project.

Leaders of local not-for-profit organisations in the Bega Valley and Shoalhaven region are invited to apply for locally-delivered leadership development programs, Regenerate Bega Valley and Regenerate Shoalhaven, designed to build capacity to help with ongoing bushfire recovery and response.

The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal today welcomed the expansion of the place-based Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) program to the Bega Valley, thanks to an injection of $1.3 million through the Australian Government’s Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Program.

Two free capacity building workshops for people volunteering or working in Bega Valley’s not-for-profit and community sector are now available, thanks to FRRR’s Investing in Not-for-Profit Capacity in Regional NSW program.

FRRR has awarded eight grants totalling $280,000 to a range of local community groups across Bega Valley and Glen Innes Severn through the INFPC program.

FRRR is inviting local leaders across three bushfire-affected regions in NSW to learn about the Foundation’s new program, Investing in Not-for-Profit Capacity in Regional NSW.
