Out of Session grants Occasionally, if we have sufficient funds, FRRR awards Out of Session grants from our core granting programs. This is by exception and happens only when funding for a project is time-critical. The grants awarded in recent years are included in the table below.

In 2022, FRRR contributed $9,212 via a Strengthening Rural Communities grant funded by Friends of FRRR and FRRR towards the g-oz ‘Helping to keep language alive in Kowanyama’ project.

FRRR is a company limited by guarantee, with our Members being the Australian Government and the Sidney Myer Fund. The organisation is a specifically listed Item 1 DGR entity in legislation (see ATO endorsement), which we describe as our superpower.
