The Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF) and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) have announced a $5 million, five-year partnership to strengthen a small number of rural, regional and remote communities in New South Wales.

FRRR has awarded 14 grants to community groups across rural, regional and remote Australia to help fund initiatives that will improve mental health support in those communities. In total, thanks to support from CCI Giving, the groups will share $200,000. The projects funded include general information sessions, specific advice services and targeted support services.

As part of the National Agriculture Day celebrations, Bayer today celebrated the hardworking Australian cotton growers who have secured $750,000 for their local communities over the past five years through the Aussie Cotton Farmers Grow Communities (ACFGC) grants program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer.

FRRR today announced 20 groups will receive grants to implement ideas developed at the 20th Heywire Regional Youth Summit. The communities benefiting from the grants are spread right across Australia, from Alice Springs NT, to Riverside TAS, Theodore QLD, Victor Harbour SA, Orange NSW, Albany WA and Foster VIC.
