News Corp Bushfire Recovery Program grants awarded

Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Media releases: 18 June 2020

The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal, in partnership with News Corp Australia, has awarded $368,386 to support 21 projects across the country that will help in the recovery of rural, regional and remote communities impacted by the summer bushfires.

Mental Health with celebrity Osher Gunsberg a hit in Robinvale

Through FRRR's In a Good Place program, funded by CCI Giving, Robinvale Network House secured funds to have celebrity Osher Gunsberg speak about his struggle with mental illness. The aim was to encourage the community to speak up and be part of the conversation surrounding mental health and AOD issues.

Good times and opportunities for Eden youth

The Eden Game Development Centre received a $9,692 ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Grant to deliver their version of the Heywire Step Up initiative to inspire disengaged young people to take the first step on their journey to success. The 'Opportunity Youth Festival’ showcased opportunities available for local young people in a fun and engaging manner to allow them to investigate options available to them.
